HOW SICK IS TOO SICK FOR SCHOOL?
KEEP AT HOME
- Fever >100 degrees Fahrenheit
- Persistent/hacking cough that is disruptive to their own learning
- Diarrhea or vomiting within 24 hours
- Eyes are pink/red with drainage or crust
- Has a rash of unknown origin
SEND TO SCHOOLÂ
- Slight runny nose or lingering cough and is able to maintain infection control
- Free from fever and fever-reducing medication (i.e. Tylenol, Motrin) for 24 hours
- Free from vomiting & diarrhea for 24 hours. If norovirus, free from vomiting & diarrhea for 48 hours
- After Hand, Foot, and Mouth, when sores are closed and healing
