As another week filled with emotions, from laughter and tears to everything in between, comes to a close, I want to shine a light on some pretty amazing people: the incredible team of the Temple City Unified School District.
From our Superintendent, Dr. Art Cunha, to our district administrators and principals, to staff and faculty from every school site, to the Temple City Schools Foundation... truly, everyone.
During some of the heaviest moments of these past two weeks, you wrapped our Longden family in unwavering and comforting support. You told us you would be there for us, and you have continued to show up. You made sure counselors were available to support our students and staff, and continue to do so. You made sure we were fed and cared for during a time when our hearts were heavy and even when finding a smile felt difficult.
To our TCUSD family: Thank You. We truly appreciate you, and we are so grateful to know that you have our backs. Because of your care and steady support, we know we will continue to grow, heal, and move forward - together.
Thank you for showing us what it truly means to be a community. ❤️
Spirit Assembly 🐯
Can we talk about how amazing our second graders were this month?! They totally rocked this month’s character trait, Responsibility! And don’t just take my word for it, check out the video below and see for yourself! Their hard work and preparation took center stage as they performed a song all about responsibility. We are so proud of them!
🇦🇺 We also had the special opportunity to welcome visiting students from Australia, who shared some fun facts about their country and left our Tigers fascinated and smiling.
And finally, a very special shoutout to Mr. Daryl Topalian for being an awesome co-MC! He definitely brought the energy that Mr. Bender would have wanted. With his help, we were able to come together as a Longden family to remember, celebrate, and honor Mr. Bender and the beautiful legacy he leaves here at Longden. ❤️
It was a Spirit Assembly filled with learning, laughter, celebration, a few tears, and a whole lot of Longden love. 💙💛
