🐯 Hello, Longden Families.

We had a busy week at Longden!
Here’s a quick look at what’s been happening—and what’s coming up next.

🌟 Engaging Girls in STEM Event at the LA Zoo!
On March 28, students from TCUSD had an exciting opportunity to engage with women ambassadors in STEM at the LA Zoo. The event included a panel discussion where students could ask questions and learn from experienced professionals, as well as hands-on experiments to explore STEM concepts firsthand.

🎉 What a fantastic Spirit Assembly for February & March!
We kicked things off with our fifth graders, who absolutely rocked their presentation on Trustworthiness—we’re so proud of their hard work and leadership!
Next, we celebrated students in grades 1–6 who consistently model Cooperation and Trustworthiness on campus. Your teamwork and positive choices truly make a difference every day!
We wrapped up the assembly with a special shoutout to our incredible paraprofessionals on Paraprofessionals Day 💛 Thank you for everything you do to make Longden a brighter, kinder place. We are so lucky to have you as part of our Longden family!

⚙️ Ready, Set, Go! Family STEM Night
💡 A HUGE THANK YOU to Mrs. Rosa Tu and Mrs. Lynne Greenup for making our STEM Night unforgettable!
Our students dove into hands-on experiments, built incredible creations, and let their imaginations soar. Memoli Hall was roaring with curiosity and non-stop fun as our young innovators explored, experimented, and discovered the wonders of transportation and STEM!

ᥫ᭡ Celebrating Our Longden Librarians!
A huge, heartfelt hug from our amazing librarians, Ms. Garcia and Mr. Chris! 💛📚 Thank you to everyone—our principals, staff, and, of course, the best students ever—for the delicious lunch, thoughtful cards, and wonderful goodies. You’ve truly made us feel loved, appreciated, and celebrated. We are so grateful for each and every one of you!

🔍 Looking Ahead — More Learning & Fun!
  • 🍓 5th grade field trip to Tanaka Farms (Chang, Guarneros, & Montes)
  • 🧏‍♂️ Hearing Screening (TK, Kindergarten, 2nd, & 5th grades).
