PBIS VIP Lunches & Ice Cream Social

🐯 Hello, Longden Families.

We had a busy week at Longden!
Here’s a quick look at what’s been happening—and what’s coming up next.

🌊 Disney's The Little Mermaid Musical
Our students had a magical time at the matinee, watching this beloved cartoon come to life on stage at the San Gabriel Mission Playhouse! They oohed and ahed and spotted some of their classmates shining in the spotlight as part of the cast.

🍦 PBIS VIP Lunches & Ice Cream Social
Students absolutely loved their VIP Lunches, where they brought a friend to enjoy lunch, play fun games, and listen to music. But the fun didn’t stop there—we wrapped up the week with the PBIS monthly special event, a refreshing Ice Cream Social!

📚  PTA Distributes Birthday Books
A big thank you to Longden’s wonderful PTA for ensuring every student receives their very own book to celebrate their birthday. This week’s distribution was for students born in February and March.

All Temple City families are warmly invited to join us for our 4th Annual Family Literacy Night on March 16 from 5:00–7:00 PM at Longden School.

Come early and enjoy delicious options from food/cookie trucks beginning at 5:00 PM. Have fun with activities like: bracelet making, bookmark design, a reading pledge station, free books, and many more fun surprises designed to spark a love of reading.

At 6:20 PM in Memoli Hall, we are excited to host a special book talk and meet-and-greet with Lulu Cheng, author and creator of Bitty Bao. Lulu will share her inspiring collection of bilingual books and toys that connect English and Chinese languages while encouraging storytelling and imaginative play.

Character Parade: Students are invited to dress as their favorite book character and join our parade and photo opportunity at 6:55 PM to close the evening with smiles and celebration.
