Orders are now open for our 25/26 yearbooks—but hurry, they’re only available until February 27! Don’t miss your chance to pick up your copy!

🌸  Camellia Float Update
This week we began collecting items from camellia plants for our float. Please hold onto fresh flowers until February 15, but any other contributions are needed now! Collection has been slow, so we’d love your help. Check your yard or ask a neighbor to donate, and help our students create an amazing float

Bowers Museum
📜 Two of our sixth-grade classes had a fun and educational visit to the Bowers Museum. Students explored fascinating cultural artifacts and learned about diverse histories and traditions from around the world

This event celebrates the special connection between daughters and their fathers—or a father figure such as an uncle, cousin, family friend, or other meaningful male role model who supports and encourages girls. We recognize that every family is unique, and we are committed to ensuring that all girls feel welcomed, valued, and included.

Join PTA in celebrating Earth Week: Register your child for a free tree!

This spring, we are thrilled to announce our participation in Neighborhood Forest's 16th Annual Free Tree Program as part of our Earth Week celebrations from April 19th to 27th!

We are excited to be participating in this wonderful program that teaches youth about the importance of environmental stewardship through the magic and wonder of planting and watching trees grow.

Please fill out the following online registration form by March 15th and receive a free tree (6-12 inches in size) during Earth Week (April 19-25). The tree species will be announced in early April. Neighborhood Forest aims to provide native and/or fruit bearing trees in all regions they serve.

Register to receive a free tree for Earth Day to plant with your child:

You will also have the option to donate and/or purchase additional trees and tree-related educational products (via the registration form). Please note this is optional and any purchases/donations will help fund more free trees for kids in the program. 

Trees will be delivered to us and we will arrange to get the trees in the hands of your children on or around Earth Day (April 22nd).

Other products that are purchased by you will be fulfilled by Neighborhood Forest.

Instructions on planting and caring for the trees, along with species details, will be emailed a few days before the tree delivery and will also be accessible in the “Resources” section on the Neighborhood Forest website. For further questions, please check out the Parent FAQs.

Celebrate Your Student’s Birthday in Lights!

Make their day extra special with a birthday shout out on our new digital marquee. Submit your birthday message request using the attached Google form and drop off your $20 tax-deductible donation to the office or pay by credit card using the link in the form. Google Form
Just a friendly note: if you send us any requests during breaks or on days when school is not in session, our response might be delayed until we're back. Thanks for your understanding!

If your child is absent for any reason, please call, email, or send a note to our front office at:

  • Name of parent/guardian reporting absence
Deliveries

Deliveries

Please be advised that the office does not allow lunch drop-offs, water bottles, instruments, homework, schoolwork, books, etc. Your understanding and cooperation are highly appreciated as we work together to create an environment that maximizes student learning and maintains a safe, closed campus.
What if your child forgets breakfast or lunch?
Our cafeteria will provide nutritious options at no charge.

  3. Communicate with your child's teacher to confirm the time & date to volunteer.
*Please note: Not all teachers request volunteers. You will still have volunteer opportunities with Longden PTA.
