⋆。‧˚ʚ🐯ɞ˚‧。⋆ Hello, Longden Families.

There's no such thing as a slow week at Longden. Read on to catch up on what’s been happening and get a sneak peek at what’s coming up.

🗽🦅 Veterans Day Field of Honor
On Monday, we celebrated our Veterans with a flag salute and our very own field of honor. Each flag carried a tag with a service member's name. It was a beautiful and meaningful way to say “thank you” to those who have protected our freedom.

🐮 Lollipop, the dairy cow, makes another adorable appearance at Longden! There were more “ooohs” and “ahhhs” from students as they learned all about dairy cows. 🐄 Thank you, PTA, for making this possible. 🫶🏼 We can't wait to see what else you have planned for the school year!

🪶🏹 Fourth Grade welcomed a special visitor for Barter Day — Board Member Mary Sneed! Our students have been learning all about California’s Native American tribes, and this was their chance to bring those lessons to life. Students used their creativity and skills by crafting items from natural materials like leather, smooth stones, colorful feathers, sturdy twigs, and clay. It was a fun-filled event that celebrated learning, imagination, and sharing.

🎻 𝄞⨾𓍢ִ໋ “Giving Bach” Concert
This week, more Kindergarten students visited Oak Ave. Intermediate School for the “Giving Bach” concert. It was an inspiring and memorable musical adventure for our young Tigers.

ఇ ◝‿◜ ఇ PBIS Tiger Store Fun! 🐯
The PBIS Tiger Store opened for two fun-filled days this week and students were so excited to redeem their hard-earned Tiger Stripes!
A huge thank you to our parent volunteers for making the store possible, and for your generous donations and purchases from our Tiger Store Amazon Wish List. Your support helps us provide even more fun incentives for students who follow the Tiger Code: Be Kind, Be Safe, and Be Responsible.

ASB Spreads the Love 🍎💛
Our awesome ASB students teamed up and took turns before school collecting food drive donations for families in need. Thank you to everyone who donated! Your kindness will fill both the hearts and tummies of Longden families this season. Way to go, Tigers! 🐾 P.S. It's not too late to donate non-expired food items or gift cards. Drop off your donations at the front office.

We have another exciting week planned. Here's a quick sneak peek:
  • Hard Lockdown Drill
  • Coffee with the Principal
  • Parent/Teacher Conferences
  • Minimum days all week.

Food Allergies

Food Allergies

We need your support regarding the sharing of food or drinks.
The rise in food allergies among children means that even the tiniest exposure to allergens could be potentially severe or life-threatening. This year, we've seen an increase in students with various food allergies. Ensuring a safe environment for all students is more crucial than ever.
Here's how you can help make Longden safer for all students:
  • Please remind your child never to share their food and drinks with other students.
  • Please remind your child never to eat or drink anything offered to them by others.
  • Please remind your child to wash their hands before and after eating.
Your support for children with allergies is extremely valuable. Together, we can make a real difference and ensure the safety and well-being of all our students.
