I grew up in the San Gabriel Valley and earned my Master's degree in Educational Counseling from the University of La Verne. This is my fifteenth year as a school counselor in TCUSD. In my free time, I enjoy making crafts, traveling, and spending time with family. I am married and have an eighteen month old son. I can't wait to learn more about you in the year to come.

Hello Longden Tigers! My name is Mr. Danny Ramirez and I am excited to be a part of the elementary school counseling team at Longden Elementary School! I graduated from the University of Southern California (USC) with a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. In 2008, I received a M.S. degree from California State University, Los Angeles (CSULA) in Counseling with an emphasis in School Counseling & Leadership, as well as a PPS credential authorizing me to work in the Kindergarten through 12th grade setting. I also hold a Child, Welfare & Attendance credential. The 2020-2021 school year will be my fourteenth year working as a School Counselor and second year at Longden. I am very excited to continue to work with so many amazing Tigers! I am passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of elementary students and help facilitate their social/emotional, and academic success. Go Tigers!

The School Psychologist provides a broad range of psychological services essential to the understanding of the emotional, physical and psychological needs of students. This includes, but not limited to, the application of psychological knowledge to the development of intellectual, emotional, and behavioral competency of pupils through consultation, assessment, counseling, and research. The School Psychologist coordinates and provides a program of psychological services to students in general education and special education programs. Provides consultation across the district related to evaluating students whose primary language is not English. The School Psychologist works closely with all staff, inclusive of general education and special education staff, in a variety of areas of behavioral services. They complete individual student assessments, planning and evaluating programs; coordinating behavioral services, coordinating and evaluating curricular resources and strategies, evaluating effectiveness of programs for individuals with exceptional needs and participating in staff and program development related to the special methods and approaches of providing special education services. The school psychologist provides parents with tools and strategies on how to best support their child.

Longden Elementary School fosters a culture that promotes the health, safety, and well-being of students and parents. In an effort to continuously support this commitment, the district has made an agreement with Care Solace.
Care Solace is an online resource with a live 24/7 concierge meant to assist individuals in finding local mental health related programs and counseling services. Care Solace's web-based system works alongside our multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) as a tool for school staff and families to connect with community-based mental healthcare resources and providers.
