PBIS - Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports

The California PBIS Coalition has awarded Longden School Gold recognition for successfully implementing the PBIS framework. Our next goal is to achieve Platinum status! PBIS is a proactive schoolwide framework emphasizing a consistent and positive culture, emphasizing prevention and positive reinforcement over reaction and punishment. At Longden, we expect our students and staff to embody our Tiger Code - be Kind, Safe, and Responsible. We acknowledge students who adhere to Longden's Tiger Code and believe that all students should be supported in their journey toward becoming responsible and successful citizens.

TIGER CODE (School Wide Expectations)
All Longden Community members are expected to:
· Be Kind
· Be Safe
· Be Responsible

PBIS Rewards App

At Longden, we are using the PBIS Rewards app to help our students follow our Tiger Code. This app is a schoolwide management system for PBIS that helps us recognize students who meet our school's expectations.  It functions on multiple devices and allows us to acknowledge good behavior from anywhere in the school, not just in the classroom. As students follow our Tiger Code, they earn Tiger Stripes, which can be redeemed for incentives in our Tiger Store. The store is open once a month for all students.

Counseling Team

At Longden School, we strive to address the well-being of our students in its entirety. To ensure this, we have two dedicated counselors on our team who are available to assist with both academic and personal/social concerns. Our counselors are committed to helping students cultivate a secure self-concept, foster healthy relationships, and establish a solid emotional foundation. They achieve this by organizing various school-wide events, counseling groups, offering individual mental health support, and other resources.
